Answers to Questions Frequently asked of the Treasurer’s Office:

• Summer Taxes are billed the first week of July and Due September 14th.

• Winter Taxes are billed the first week of December and Due February 14th. A 3% late fee is added after February 14th. Taxes must be paid directly to Kent County after February 28th.

• If your mortgage company is listed on your Tax bill, we have already sent a copy to them. However, it is still your responsibility to make sure they do pay your taxes.

• Principal Residence Exemption Affidavit must be filed with the Township by May 1st. Homeowners must occupy their home by May 1st in order to be eligible for the Homestead Exemption for that entire calendar year. If the line titled “Cal School Oper” on your tax bill says "EXEMPT" then you are getting the Homestead Exemption.
