Building Department

The role of the Building Department is to determine if a building permit is required and if so, to issue the necessary permits. Applications for permits must be submitted directly to the Building Department where they will be reviewed. The application is then dispersed to the Planning, Zoning, and Utilities departments for approval. Once the other departments have signed off on the project, the Building Official approves the submitted plans according to the building code. Permit applications can be submitted by mail, fax, email, or in-person.

You can now apply and pay online for your electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permits. Our permits do not work with Google Chrome or Firefox. Please use Internet Explorer.
